Well, after nearly 50 hours spent working on it (waaaay more than anticipated) I finally finished my second project, an Irish cottage for my sister. Once again this was mostly made with cardboard, and homemade clay, [made from egg cartons and glue) as well as popsicle sticks and tiny stones. I then painted it and added a few accessories to make it complete. I am very happy with how it turned and I think my sister will love it! I hope everyone enjoys the photos.

Ok, so I was inspired by some creative, artistic utube videos and decided to give this a whirl. I am now making home made decorations for holidays and fantasy themed crafts. This is my first attempt, a fairy house for my niece's birthday next week. These crafts are basically made from trash! I used cardboard, foil, empty plastic bottles, old coat hangers and assembled it all with a hot glue gun, then coated the entire piece in home made paper clay, made from old egg cartons and glue! I then painted everything and I have to say, for a first attempt, I am pretty happy with it! This fairy house also lights up (with a flickering tea light inside) illuminating the windows. This took about 40 hours to make over the course of about 5 or 6 weeks. My next project won't be as big and with some experience now, should go much faster. My sister has requested an old Irish cottage, so that is next on the agenda. I also plan to make Halloween and Christmas decorations this way. Soooo enough rambling, here are the pictures!

Thanks for checking out my new hobby!
