 I have had to learn that word surrender after some serious health issues but i believe it all brought out the best in me. Don't get me wrong, i am still stubborn and very independent but now understand that inner surrender.

I think the analogous question is "Can one love another, if one does not love oneself?" I think the answer to both is "NO"
