I get it. MsWiggles Touches my face and hair all the time. I think, to herit is like petting that I do to her. Countess Snooky like to come up the past few months and breath my breath as I sleep and she reaches out her paw to get me to pet her. They both crave affection at times they want and allow it. After all, I am their human. MsWiggles wants me on the recliner all the time, so she can curl up between my legs. I suppose it is warmer that way.

Countess Snooky Von Furrrstenberg is 20 now. She is not blind, but is not as agile. She pretty much sleep most of the day or night. She had some health issues about a year and half ago. She is pretty skinny now. Hardly ever does any play. MsWiggles will play with toys for a few minutes and then wants to cuddle.

I am mostly a cat and horse person. If I still had a ranch I would also have goats and chickens.

I understand completely ! I had some serious health issues a few years ago and spent some time away from Courtney as I was in the hospital. When I finally got home she would jump on the bed and gently nuzzle my nose......nose kisses and she would lie right beside me just watching to make sure i was okay.

The loss of a good animal hurts deeper than it should, on the bright side I have never seen a musical

Sending a big empathetic hug through the ether, I have a recent tale of animal tragedy but will you spare you the details.

Much love to all at your location.

RIP the old cat, Long live..................

The opinions and understanding portrayed in my blog are mainly unfounded, misguided or wrong.

I too think animals have wonderful perception! Cassey feels your warmth and love and wants to return it....

My perspective is that Cassey was consoling you, either of her own volition or Sushi's spirit was working through her. I'm sure I can be labeled as a mushy sentimentalist, but I've always believed that our pets learn to communicate with us in non-verbal ways, and that their energy binds with ours in unique ways.... It's how I was raised.

And as I write this, my 7 year old pibble Deuce is snoring away on a cushion at my feet, enjoying some rare time when the other two dogs in the house aren't harassing him.

Our condolences on your family's loss.

I have had cats and dogs all my life. i have a cat and dog now. In the morning the cat tells the dog whom is in another room, confined, that I am awake. I know that because the dog does not whine until then. They both understand and react to the spoken word. When I take dog out, the cat cries until we come back in. They are best friends and often sleep together. If i am not feeling well, they both will not leave me alone. They know when something is not right. Animals have a sixth sense like that.

A little piece of Me also dies when I lose a pet, and I have buried many through the years.

I cry like a baby when I hold a pet for the last time. They all were and all are a part of Me.

I've never lived without a pet and I probably never will. All they do is love you.

Pet people 'understand'. Our dogs and cats, etc. each have their individual personalities and they understand and 'feel' far more than most people give them credit for.

Bearhuggles mate. I know exactly how you’re feeling having experienced the same with my cat familiars over time. It’s something only cat people get and only if they are fortunate enough to bond with their cats

Dont let someone else tell you what you know in your heart. She was comforting you.
I believe animals know, understand, and feel.
